Ardenia Online is a fully immersive virtual reality MMORPG set in a fractured world where two realms collide — the techno-industrial sprawl of Abelion and the myth-touched wildlands of Ioyeni.
Players jack in to escape a dying Earth, finding power, meaning, or madness in the neural depths of the game. Every decision matters. The people you meet — they’re more than just code. They remember you. They rival you. They might even fall for you.
Tumblr media
➤ Two Worlds, One Avatar
Switch between Abelion’s neon chaos and Ioyeni’s ancient magic. Your choices ripple between both worlds — forging quests, unlocking new identities, and altering destiny itself.
➤ Build Your Legacy
No rigid classes. Develop your character through stats, implants, magic, and choices. Everything from cybernetic spines to divine mutations is on the table.
➤ Romance That Evolves
Companions grow with — or against — you. Rivalries can become romances. Betrayals can become obsessions. Every connection is dynamic, memory-driven, and meaningful.
➤ Consequences Are Real
No reset buttons. Your wins and failures echo across the server. The world is reactive, persistent, and built to remember who you are.
Tumblr media
Amelia/Abel [F/M]: Your best friend since childhood. Grounded. Steady. Comfort in human form. Amelia/Abel is the kind of person who brings you soup when you're sick and threatens your enemies with a shovel. Loyal to a fault — but that same loyalty can be classified into blind stubbornness. They want things to stay how they were, even if the world is changing too fast to hold onto. Quietly brave, a little anxious, always watching you for signs that you're slipping away.
Age: 23
Height: 5'6"
Skin: Fair with freckles
Hair: Curly (brown, Back Length for Amelia, blonde, Neck Length Abel)
Eyes: Hazel (Amelia), Amber (Abel)
MBTI: ISFJ
Enneagram: Type 6
Love Type: Friends to Lovers, Fast Paced
Raven [M/F/NB]: The mysterious strategist who sees through you. Intense. Razor-sharp. Elusive as hell. Raven doesn’t open up — they unfold slowly over time. They're analytical and cold on the surface, but their silence hides emotions. Observant to the point of discomfort. They remember everything. Will never admit they care, but they care so deeply it aches. The romance feels like solving a puzzle with your hands tied behind your back by barbedwires.
Age: 24
Height: 6'0"
Skin: Pale
Hair: Black, straight, Shoulder Length
Eyes: Onyx
MBTI: INTJ
Enneagram: Type 5
Love Type: Strangers to Lovers, Slow — slow Burn
Kai [M]: The firestarter. Charisma incarnate, walking serotonin and chaos. Kai’s your ride-or-die adrenaline junkie. He jokes through danger, flirts through fire, and fights like he has nine lives. But there’s depth under the bravado — fear of failure, a need to be seen, and an almost desperate hunger for connection he masks with swagger. He’s loyal, but unpredictable. You'll laugh with him. You might will cry too.
Age: 22
Height: 5'9"
Skin: Tanned
Hair: Dyed red, natural brown, Ear Length
Eyes: Turquoise-green
MBTI: ESFP
Enneagram: Type 7
Love Type: Fast-paced, Flirty Disaster
Nova [F]: The Healer. Warm. Empathic. A soul like moonlight on water. Nova is gentle with others, sometimes too gentle with herself. She listens more than she speaks, and when she does speak, it’s with weight. A natural healer, emotionally and physically, but struggles to prioritise her own needs. She’ll hold your hand through storms but might forget she’s getting wet too.
Age: 24
Height: 5'8"
Skin: Dark
Hair: Dreadlocks
Eyes: Deep brown
MBTI: INFP
Enneagram: Type 9
Love Type: Gentle Romance, Emotional Healing
Iris [F]: Tactical, graceful, deadly. Commanding. Strategic. Hot enough to burn and cold enough to freeze. Iris exudes competence and doesn’t suffer fools. She’s brilliant, blunt, and often a step ahead. She demands respect — but the real challenge is earning her trust. When she opens up (rare), it’s like standing in a sunbeam. She feels deeply but doesn’t always know how to show it without turning it into a battle plan.
Age: 36
Height: 5'10"
Skin: Brown
Hair: Wavy black
Eyes: Dark brown
MBTI: ENTJ
Enneagram: Type 8
Love Type: Power Couple, High Stakes, Slow Burn
Howard [M]: Scarred and silent. Grim. Stoic. Quietly haunted. Howard’s the type who keeps his back to the wall and watches exits. He doesn’t talk much unless it matters. But when he lets you in — it’s real. He’s not brooding for the aesthetic, he’s seen things he can’t explain and carries guilt like armour. Underneath that: surprising softness. The kind of man who’ll sit in silence with you because he knows sometimes that’s enough.
Age: 38
Height: 6'1"
Skin: Tanned, scarred
Hair: Short dark brown
Eyes: Grey
MBTI: ISTP
Enneagram: Type 1
Love Type: Protector Dynamic, Stoic Softie
Arlo [M]: Grumpy. Tired. Always one snarky comment away from becoming your problem. Arlo’s the kind of guy who rolls his eyes while patching you up, mutters "idiot" when you make a reckless choice, and then stands in front of you when things go bad anyway. He will protect you — just don’t expect him to smile while doing it. He has a soft side, but it’s buried under layers of deadpan, reluctant affection, and brotherly grumbling. Low tolerance for bullshit, but infinite tolerance for the people he secretly cares about. Especially his sister.
Age: 26
Height: 5'10"
Skin: Deep caramel
Hair: Cropped dark brown
Eyes: Warm brown
MBTI: ISTJ
Enneagram: Type 1
Love Type: Protective Romance
Alex [F]: Absolute gremlin. Tech goblin. The chaos engine. Alex is clever, snarky, loud, and borderline feral. He will roast you while fixing your hair and probably break into your heart by accident. He talks in memes, flirts in saracsm, and runs on caffeine and spite. Underneath the noise? Loneliness. Insecurity. Genius. And a weird sweetness he pretends doesn’t exist. If you romance him, it’s like dating a livewire with a crush on you and a grudge against god.
Age: 19
Height: 5'2"
Skin: Pale
Hair: Long ash-brown
Eyes: Pale blue
MBTI: ENTP
Enneagram: Type 4
Love Type: Banter-Filled Chaos, Fast Burn
Elara [F]: Elara is radiant — a bold idealist with a poetic soul. She speaks with passion, acts with purpose, and believes deeply in love, beauty, and people. There’s fire in her, and she’s not afraid to fight for what she believes in. But for all her confidence, she’s also deeply trusting — sometimes to a fault. She sees the best in others, even when they don’t deserve it, and her heart leads her into places her head maybe shouldn’t. She’s fearless in pursuit of what feels right — even when it puts her in danger.

Hair: Blonde, wavy
Eyes: Blue
MBTI: ENFJ

She sees people more clearly than they see themselves. Getting close to her is like entering a quiet place in your mind you didn’t know you missed. But her calm hides storms — and some scars she doesn’t talk about yet.
Age: 23
Height: 5'5"
Skin: Pale beige
Hair: Soft grey
Eyes: White and clouded
MBTI: ISFP

Micro-tip: How to make emotional scenes hit harder
Don’t put the emotional payoff in the confrontation itself.
Put it two scenes later. Quiet. Off-guard. Uncontrolled.
Let your character hold it together when it matters.
Then let it fall apart in the silence that follows.
Not when they’re being watched.
When the door sticks.
When someone looks away.
When they forget the wine.
When they ask if anyone’s hungry just to fill the space.
Readers don’t cry when the character explodes.
They cry when the damage surfaces — quiet, and far too late.

It's looking like there's a growing divide between Campaign watchers and Tlovm watchers in terms of like. We're here for the characters. 12-episode seasons aren't. They can't be. I'm already making peace with everything we'll lose in the Mighty Nein show, and I know I will enjoy it for what it is but I also know that almost nothing that made the story so special will translate to the screen, because turning it into a show automatically means (in this day and age) that plot must be the number one priority. They've already come out and told us it's going to be different, the characters we know and love but new stories.
Because that's how this has to work. And I feel bad for campaign one lovers, because while it is certainly the easier of the two to translate to a big, overarching story, even though it's a more "traditional" high fantasy story with easier archetypal characters, the archetypes and the plot aren't what cemented most people's love for the campaign. So much of the love for critical role is stored in the interpersonal dynamics and the payoff that comes from hundreds of hours of tiny interactions that one day become cornerstones of development and even affect or dictate the plot.
There's no room for that. There's no room for Bard's Lament in a story that cannot afford to remove and replace a main character. A lot of tlovm is for people who have been here for all of campaign one. Most of it, however, isn't. It's for a new crowd. While CR may have creative control, you can bet your ass that there were months and years devoted to figuring out how to map a character-focused love of the show into a plot that hits the right beats to be viable in the show market.
And it worked. Tlovm has consistently high viewing numbers, and its popularity has brought and will continue to bring new people into the universe who have never interacted with CR previously. That's not a bad thing - imagine finishing your favorite show and discovering it has another FIVE HUNDRED HOURS of the equivalent of behind the scenes content. That's incredible for these newcomers. But man, it is in many ways a loss for us.

who's out here feeling
underwhelmed by the latest three episodes of Arcane, and scarred about the direction the narrative is taking?
they spent an entire season, Promising us that it was worth getting invested in the conflict between characters. That everything was gonna pay off and reward the viewers for their investment, only to have reconcile Vi and Jink right after Vi's ultimate, moral betrayal of everything she's ever believed, have Vi and Caitlyn make up off screen, introduce Vander as Warick only to kill him off immediately, have Jayce kill viktor in a conflict that was divorced from everything their relationship was built on (moral conflict based on the class divide who?), have Mel off doing god knows what away from the main conflict, and, to top it all off had the innocent child character die in a pointless act of self-sacrifice.
can't also forget that it looks like they're setting up Ambessa as the absolute villain.
how have they managed to hand wave away so many interesting plot hooks, and interesting, character-driven conflicts?
there is still a good chance the writers will bring it back, but man that was,,, something

what even was the point of wanting to make helluva about 'messy romance and complex characters' if they can't commit to that at even the most basic level. the narrative will just decide that a character has done wrong without explaining what or how, it'll completely ignore or justify legitimately dubious things, it's so desperate to tell you exactly how to feel about certain characters...
stella's dialogue is so cartoonishly on-the-nose evil and she has no actual motivations. none of stolas' mistakes are acknowledged until now, 2 seasons in (and even then, they're trying to justify them), half the stolitz-related conflicts are almost comically childish. blitz yelled at stolas, which is mean. instead of looking at this with nuance, blitz is in the wrong, and stolas is not. there is a wrong party and a right party, every time. there are no shades of grey.
where's the complexity? these characters range from cardboard to slightly thicker cardboard with maybe a drawing of a frowny face on it, except the frowny face changes colours every time you look at it because the writers worship inconsistencies.

My HC for Daniel's turning:
Daniel in the aftermath of the loumand divorce, coming down off adrenaline, Parkinson's symptoms worsening because of the stress. His legs seize up as he tries to leave and he trips on the steps up from the weird sunken brutalist living room, cracking his head open on the concrete floor. Armand panics. If he lets Daniel bleed out, Louis will think Armand killed him.
He thinks he's left with no choice but to do the one thing he swore he'd never do.
The last thing Daniel sees is Armand's face, eyes wide and dark, fangs dropping. Just like Divisidaro. Daniel's last mortal words are a pitiful "Louis said you can't hurt me."
When he wakes up as a vampire, Armand is gone.

Just having thoughts about the og series starting with Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth's promise to each other about family and Nico making Percy promise to protect Bianca, his sister.
Annabeth to Luke:
"Family, Luke, you promised."
Nico to Percy:
"you have to promise to keep my sister safe." "I… that's a big thing to promise, Nico.." "Promise," he insisted. "I'll do my best. I promise that.
Both promises being broken.
Also this part:
"You promised you would protect her," Nico said. He might as well have stabbed me with a rusty dagger. It would've hurt less than reminding me of my promise.
The dagger mention here ?? And Annabeth's dagger being the cursed blade part of the prophecy that Luke used to stab himself with that was cursed specifically because he broke his promise.
Nico's fallout with Percy being the catalyst to Percy accepting being the Hero of the Prophecy because he wanted to spare Nico from suffering more pain. And because he felt he owed it to his sister.
Annabeth's reminder and unwavering faith leading to Luke's sacrifice, completing his role as the hero of the prophecy.
Both promises being everything but also not enough in the end.
Neither of them getting back the family they wanted.
Both of them healing and making bonds that they let themselves have despite all their heartbreak and pain and fear of abandonment.
Annabeth finding a family in Percy and Grover (and Sally).
Nico finding a family in Hazel, never seeing her as Bianca's replacement. Nico eventually being able to accept Jason and Reyna and Will's friendship and love for him (don't think about reyna and bianca hunters of Artemis parallels or jason dying).
Just... both Annabeth and Nico desperately wanting to preserve their families.
Both Annabeth and Nico being so full of love.
Love being why Annabeth's faith in Luke never wavers, which saves the world in the end.
Love being the reason why he helps Percy and why he doesn't give up on Hades making amends with his family, which ultimately helps save them in the end.

The Real Darkness in Dark Fantasy: The Human Heart
Blood, blades, and betrayal might draw readers to dark fantasy. But it’s the quiet moments – the internal struggles, the fraying of conscience, the tested loyalties – that truly hook us. When done right, character depth transforms dark fantasy from mere violence into a profound exploration of human nature. Soren’s Transformation in Guild of Assassins Consider how my novel Guild of Assassins…

Assumption: While it’s not why Corinne never got with Bruce, you do feel like it would be way too self-indulgent to write and publish your self-insert getting in a permanent and fun romantic relationship with your crush from an existing media, who also has a body type and sexual preferences that perfectly match your tastes.
it definitely didn't help the situation!!!!

Throw Tigers a snack!
Duckies have been asking if I have somewhere they can further support my efforts. See below for a kofi!
You don't have to, but if you do choose to support, know in your heart that another tiger is born in the wild. <3

The Truth They Can’t Afford to See
For me, what a character believes is rarely the point. What fascinates me is what they can’t afford to know - the memory they wrap in soft cloth, the truth they circle like a wound. Not because they’re liars, but because seeing it clearly would undo something they need to survive.
Their blind spots aren’t flaws. They’re structural. Take one away, and the rest begins to shake.
Some call obedience devotion. Some call cruelty duty. Some name their silence humility - and pray no one asks what it cost.
It’s not villainy. It’s not clarity. It’s survival, rewritten as virtue.
And when they finally see it - truly see it - it’s not just the character who fractures. The story breaks with them.
I don’t write villains. I write people who survive by not knowing. Until truth ruins them - and the story has to find another shape.
